Another year has passed us by, and I'm hoping that the coming year will bring much happier times for everyone.

Happy Christmas!

Folks it's hard to believe that another year has passed us by without stopping to check if we were happy with the speed at which we've been travelling! As 2009 draws to a close, and for many I know this will be a good thing, I'd like to thank you all for supporting my charities throughout the year, and for helping me to make a difference to so many people.

2010 looks set to be equally as challenging, so for an all too brief period, I'd like to wish each and everyone of you all a Very Merry Christmas and Peaceful New Year!

Lapland here I come

I'm very excited as tomorrow sees me heading, once again, for the Arctic Circle with my favourite charity to give 100 or more seriously ill children the experience of a lifetime! A fun packed day lay ahead of all of us, with sleigh rides and snow ball fights listed amongst the activities available. The day will culminate in all the children meeting Father Christmas and his helpers, so that they can have a chance to tell the great man himself what might be on their Christmas lists...I'm still writing mine at the moment!!

Each year When You Wish Upon a Star runs a series of trips to Lapland to bring some magic into the lives of the children, who are suffering from life threatening illnesses. The work of the charity has certainly touched my heart, and if you want to learn more about how the team make the dreams of sick children come true why not visit the link below...

Putin's Address

Today see's Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin on Russian National TV answering questions from the people of the worlds largest country. Highlights of his interview can be seen on the English language channel Russia Today, or by visiting their website www.rt.com no doubt there will be some very interesting questions posed.
I shall be tuning in myself to see what he thinks will happen in the coming year to Russia and her people.
